Is there a risk of overspending?
No. Budgets are fixed, and once the allocation is used, no additional cost is incurred by the company. You decide the exact amount each employee gets (e.g. $500/year), and you can also set individual limits per claim if you wish. This caps your company’s exposure while giving employees meaningful choice.
Are Soda Flex benefits taxable for employees?
Only 2 categories - Sport & Wellness and Lifestyle - are taxable. All other categories (Dental, Education, Insurance, Maternity, Medical, Optical, Preventive Care) are non-taxable. You decide which categories to enable, so employees get maximum value with minimal tax impact.
Do Soda Flex benefits affect CPF contributions?
No. Soda Flex benefits are treated as reimbursements or direct payments for specific expenses, not cash remuneration. This means they are exempt from CPF calculations, saving both employer and employee CPF costs.
How do employees access their benefits?
Employees log in to the Doctor Anywhere app to see their available budget, view eligible categories, and make claims - all in a few taps.
Can I decide which items within a category are claimable?
Yes, you can fully customise each benefit category by choosing which items or subcategories are claimable and which are not. For example, under Sports & Wellness you could allow gym memberships and yoga classes, but exclude sports equipment purchases. This ensures benefits align with your company’s policies and budget.
Is there an age limit for employees covered?
No, Soda does not impose age limits like some traditional insurance providers. Your employees are covered regardless of age.
What’s the average cost per visit using panel rates?
On average, GP consultations cost between $25–$35 per visit with medication, thanks to panel pricing. Your employees can enjoy panel GP visits at a flat $13 per visit (consultation fee). For specialist visits, the typical range is $80–$120, and physiotherapy starts at $150 for the first visit with $135 for follow-ups.
